Elizabeth Kester

Elizabeth leads Transparentem’s partnerships and communications efforts. In this capacity, she develops strategic partnerships to advance Transparentem’s mission and increase its impact and brings visibility to its vital work combating human rights and environmental abuses in global supply chains.

Prior to joining Transparentem, Elizabeth held progressively responsible roles at the International Rescue Committee, where she focused on building multifaceted partnerships with foundations based in North America, Europe, and the Middle East to deliver outcomes-based programs for humanitarian impact. Programs she supported included: an $100M early childhood education project in East Africa; an innovative program to drive coverage for, and examine the cost-effectiveness of, treatment of child malnutrition across five countries in Sub-Saharan Africa; and long-term work to deliver comprehensive contraception and abortion care to women and adolescent girls in fragile contexts.

Previously, she worked at Arrangements Abroad managing the development and operations of cultural travel programs for leading non-profit institutions, and at the Women’s Environment & Development Organization supporting communications efforts to advocate for gender equality and the integrity of the environment.

Elizabeth earned a B.A. in English from Wesleyan University. She is a New York City native and is based in Brooklyn.
