Jonathan directs Transparentem’s investigative portfolio, develops and executes programmatic strategy, manages a global team, and serves as subject matter expert on environmental issues.
Prior to joining Transparentem, Jonathan worked in the private sector as an environmental geologist with an international engineering and scientific consulting firm investigating and remediating contaminated land and water resources in North America, the Caribbean, and Oceania. He has volunteered with Engineers Without Borders USA for more than a decade, leading water supply system assessment, design, and installation projects in India and Cameroon and serving in several chapter, state, regional, and national leadership positions within the organization. Beyond his work to solve environmental issues and expand access to clean water and other critical infrastructure, Jonathan has been a labor rights advocate since he was a teenager, when he helped found a chapter of an anti-child-labor organization at his high school.
Jonathan earned a B.A. in geology from Oberlin College.
